A number of incidents on the West Anglia Main Line led to FSI being invited to implement a new security plan.
Following a series of incidents of theft, unauthorised access and traveller occupations, FSI was invited to implement a new security plan for VolkerFitzpatrick on the West Anglia Main Line (WAML) infrastructure project and the Meridian Water development.
Having designed an effects-based solution FSI took over security of the WAML sites from a previous contractor. Within a week the number of incidents had been reduced to zero. Effective and visible patrolling, CCTV towers and periodic canine support provided sufficient deterrent to enable enhanced security across the operational area. FSI was retained by VolkerFitzpatrick and has since supported them on a number of their infrastructure projects.
